Dental Care

Dental care is available from General Dental Practitioners and the Community Dental Service (CDS). The CDS has clinics throughout Cardiff and the Vale and mobile dental surgeries which visit special schools and day centres regularly.

Home visits can also be arranged if necessary. Dentists working for the CDS have a wide range of experience in providing care for people with a learning disability.

Regular dental care is important for all of us. It is very important that children are given regular preventative care from the earliest possible age to prevent the onset of dental decay and oral problems.
