Palliative Care for People with Learning Difficulties (PCPLD)

The PCPLD Network brings together service providers and carers working for the benefit
of people with learning disabilities who have palliative care needs. It is based on the belief
that people with learning disabilities should receive all the co-ordinated help they need in
living their lives to the full until the end of their lives.

The PCPLD Network aims to enhance collaboration between all services providers and carers, share and promote ‘best practice’ and enhance collaboration between all services providers and carers. The PCPLD Network provides two UK study days each year, offers regional opportunities for networking, collaboration, exchange of ideas and development of local ‘best practice’. There are local area groups that hold regular meetings for members.
